Big Texas Terror horror convention brings film and wrestling stars to downtown San Antonio, March 6-8
A three-day fan event centers on celebrity Q&As, photo ops, vendors and cosplay at the convention center
Horror fans gathered in downtown San Antonio this weekend for Big Texas Terror, a three-day pop-culture convention focused on scary films, genre television and related collectibles. The event is scheduled for March 6–8, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center.
Organizers listed show-floor hours as 2–8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Ticketing materials also describe day passes as available at the door, while noting that celebrity autographs and professional photo opportunities are sold separately from admission.
Celebrity lineup includes “Terrifier” performers and longtime horror icons
The convention’s guest roster highlights performers associated with recent franchise horror as well as legacy genre titles and wrestling. Among the announced headliners is David Howard Thornton, known for portraying Art the Clown in the “Terrifier” films. Additional advertised guests include Linda Blair (“The Exorcist”), Doug Bradley (the “Hellraiser” film series) and wrestler Chris Jericho.
Promotional schedules released ahead of the weekend described a Friday evening panel featuring multiple performers connected to the “Terrifier” series, with other Q&A sessions planned throughout the event. The programming format follows a standard fan-convention model: ticketed meet-and-greets and photo sessions alongside general-access panels and a vendor floor.
Downtown logistics: parking, accessibility and security screening
Event guidance provided to attendees emphasizes that the convention center does not operate its own dedicated parking and that visitors should plan for surrounding downtown garages and lots. Accessibility information states that wheelchairs or motorized scooters can be requested through convention center staff, and that sign-language interpretation is available for Q&A panels, with seating subject to availability.
Security policies include bag checks and restrictions on weapons and realistic weapon props. Organizers state that all bags may be searched before entry and that authentic weapons are prohibited. Guidance also indicates that venue security and the San Antonio Police Department make final determinations on what items are allowed inside.
